GuardDog to be Released in Summer of 08'

Major Improvement Over Legacy System

Greenwood, Indiana - May 21, 2008 - OmniSite (www.omnisite.com), the leader in low cost easy to use monitoring equipment for the wastewater industry, today announced the upcoming release of their new customer interface, GuardDog, in the summer of 2008. The GuardDog software provides a powerful and intuitive interface which allows users to manage their systems over the internet on any computer, anywhere.

The GuardDog software is a huge improvement over its predecessor, with major improvements being made to the navigation and graphical interface. GuardDog was created to be easy to setup and use. For instance in the past it took 10 steps to initially setup the system, this has been reduced to two-easy steps.

The DeviceView page, shown to the left, shows the easy to use navigation system. The top menu provides drop downs which allow the user to get to any other page with one click. Also, each section of the software has "view" pages that have easy to click icons and explanations of each page. Each page also has a tutorial or help screen to help if you get stuck.

"The GuardDog interface is a culmination of customer suggestions and brainstorming sessions at OmniSite," said Chris Kent, Sr. Software Engineer at OmniSite. "One key topic that kept coming up was to make the software easy enough to use, that you don't have to be a computer programmer to use it. I think we accomplished this goal ten fold."

"One of my favorite pages on the whole site is the MapView page," said Kent. "Not only does this have the wow factor customers want, but it gives them a quick and easy way to do a visual scan of the status of their equipment."

The MapView page, shown to the right, allows users to quickly view their devices laid out geographically and while providing drilldown and quick link capabilities. Alarm conditions are easy to find as they are shown in red and normal operation is shown as a green symbol. Checking the status of your equipment has never been so easy or intuitive!

Customers will benefit from the improved graphing, exporting and data analyzation features the new site has to offer, without sacrificing its ease of use. It is now easy to compare unit vs. unit and unit vs. itself. OmniSite will be releasing the software to customers as early as June. With increasing enviromental concerns, GuardDog will give wastewater treatment plant operators peace of mind that their equipment is working properly!
