OmniSite Employees Step Into Defined Roles

Today we announced that Ken Strong and Chris Kent have stepped into more defined roles with the company. Ken and Chris will both be joining the software/hardware development team as software engineers. Ken joined OmniSite in 2005 while Chris came aboard in 2006.

“Chris and Ken have both been in the company long enough to know the ropes and both have shown they are very effective at their jobs,” said Tom Ward, president of OmniSite. “They both served as technical support technicians while learning the ins and outs of the OmniSite product line and website. City of Wahkon – Sewer monitoring system OK’d

At the April 10 Wahkon City Council meeting, Tim Miller, representing OmniSite, explained the high-tech waste-water monitoring device to be installed in five of the city’s pump stations. In a move to upgrade the measuring capability of their city sewers, the Wahkon City Council on April 9 voted to invest in a state-of-the-art sewer monitoring system.The council agreed to purchase a monitoring unit for five of the city’s six lift stations hoping to better the city’s ability to not only measure waste water flowage but also detect complications that may arise in the system. OmniSite Holds National Sales Meeting in Las Vegas

We would like to thank all the distributors and participants who attended the OmniSite National Sales Meeting at the Excalibur in Las Vegas on January 15, 2007. The event was well-attended with at least one representative from every distributor firm present.

Despite experiencing the coldest temperatures in the area in twenty years, Tom Ward and Justin Poehler enjoyed a stay at the Excalibur and the opportunity to meet with distributors to discuss the issues and plans concerning the Amps Sunset.

As announced at the meeting, distributors may visit OmniSite.net’s new Distributor Area to find helpful tools and resources for dealing with the Amps Sunset. Also announced was OmniSite’s new Viper Lift Station Monitoring Panel which will ship March 20, 2007. The Viper is a flexible, easy to install and configure, powerful monitor that provides a low-cost solution for those utility managers who must balance professional results with a smaller budget.

Pete Duty & Associates, an OmniSite Representative, will be expanding their operations into Southern Georgia. Their new office will be located out of Savannah, Georgia and run by Jay Boudreaux.

Jay Boudreaux comes to Pete Duty & Assoicates with 15 years in the industry after receiving his BS from Louisiana State University in Mechanical Engineering. He started as an EIT in sewer operation for the City of Baton Rouge. He later worked as an Application Engineer for ABS pumps for 10 years, before joining Pete Duty & Associates. Read more

Miller Pump Supply recently teamed up with Fralo Industries to install an OmniSite Crystal Ball RTU at Summit Township in Erie, PA. Fralo Industries, a manufacturer of industrial controls, built the custom control panel, using the OmniSite Crystal Ball as the pump controller and alarm monitor for the site.
