Releases its Submersible Level Transducer

Greenwood, Indiana – September 1, 2004 – OmniSite (www.omnisite.com), the leader in low cost easy to use monitoring equipment for the wastewater industry, today announced the release of the I-Level Submersible Level Transducer. How can OmniSite improve the best lift station monitor in the world? By combining it with the best submersible pressure sensor in the world! 

Determine the level in your well, tank or any other storage vessel using OmniSite’s I-Level Submersible Level Transmitter. This unit is optimized for use in applications where coating and fouling can disable other submersible transducers. The I-Level uses a ceramic sensor to measure Fluid level. Other Sensors are damaged with a simple “tap” on the sensor diaphram. Not the I-Level! 

The I-Level is a submersible level transmitter with a ceramic pressure sensor for the level measurement of liquids. The I-Level is available with nine permanently calibrated measuring ranges from 3 to 600 ftH20 to ensure use in all standard applications (optional application specific range). Due to its compact outer diameter of only 0.87″ (22mm), it is ideal for use in 1″ well casings as well. 

The I-Level is a loop-powered self-contained 4 to 20mA device. The hydrostatic column acts directly on the ceramic diaphram. The deflection of the diaphram generates a change in the capacitance of the sensor. The transmitter electronics, which is located in the 316L SS probe, converts the capacitance change to a repeatable and accurate 4 to 20 mA output signal.

Makes Improvements to Web Interface

XR50 Advanced Features:

  • Low RSSI Indicator: It is now possible to get an alarm when your unit has a weak signal strength. It will call your cell phone, pager or send an email to let you know that it might be a good idea to upgrade to a stronger antenna.
  • 2nd Website: OmniSite now has a backup website ww2.omni-site.net. If the main website is down for whatever reason, use this identical website to view your equipment!
  • Modbus Gateway: Available 2005! If you have an existing PLC that has a modbus port, you can hook it up to the OmniSite XR-50 modbus option.
  • New Website: The new website gives OmniSite a fresher look and gives more features to reps and customers. Some new features include the new distributor area, customer locations, more support documentation and many other exciting enhancements.
  • Web Based Graphs: Available 2005! With the new graphs it will now be easier to spot trends in your pumps. You will be able to graph numerous variables including GPM, Amp Draw, Runtime and much more!
  • Improved Voice Interface: The improved voice interface will know allow you to listen to all your current alarms at any time and will also combine multiple alarms into one phone call.

The new login area will give the rep the ability to download user manuals, specs, brochures and other important documents in word format. Other features include the ability to look up customer user names and passwords, cellular service area, price lists and many other helpful documents.

Sales Increase by over 100%

Greenwood, Indiana – January 1, 2004 – OmniSite (www.omnisite.com), the leader in low cost easy to use monitoring equipment for the wastewater industry, today announced record sales in 2003. This is the 6th consecutive year of increased sales.

Another banner year is under the belt, as OmniSite reports increased sales of 100% in the year 2003 over the year 2002. OmniSite watched as the Crystal Ball, a product which many customers called the “product of the future” for sewage lift station monitors, took the wastewater industry by storm. Customers bought them in droves.

Justin Poehler, Technical Support Supervisor for OmniSite said of 2003, “I knew it was going to be a busy year from the first day of January when the Support department had call after call about new start-ups. Luckily for us our products went in easy with very little or no problems!”

“The fact the XR-50 was now able to handle Triplex lift stations gave the product a big boost. The Crystal Ball will also be able to handle triplex stations by the end of 2004, and I am sure sales will go through the roof again,” said Poehler. “It is amazing that with all the competition we get from SCADA and telephone dialers that we sell so many of these things. I guess that is just a testament to how well the products work. I am sure 2004 will be another banner year for OmniSite. Keeping busy will definitely not be an issue!”
